Anyone who has followed me for any amount of time at all now will know that a) I am very much a foodie and b) I love supporting small/start-up/ local businesses through my blog. So I was delighted to connect with Aaron & Shantelle of AJ’s Rustic Pizza Co. a gorgeous rustic pizza take away based just down the road from us in Flitwick, Bedfordshire. If you are anywhere near guys, I’m telling you – you need to check them out 🙂
They currently deliver to (charging – £1-£2.50 delivery outside of Flitwick based on mileage – please message for quote):

They also offer free collection from Flitwick (near the leisure-centre) and have done several pop up shop days in surrounding areas, follow them on social to keep up to date with their latest ones.
The terms of our collab was for them to provided me with enough pizza for a birthday meal for my, very lucky, husband this last weekend in exchange for a review…
Here’s a bit about the company and how it started:
First and foremost we are a family run business with a combined 30 years of hospitality experience. I personally started working in kitchens at the age of 14 washing plates and soon fell in love with the passion and discipline of the trade. Over the years I have worked in many Gastro Pubs and fine dining Rosette Restaurants, specialising in foraged herbs and nose-to-tail cooking with wild and local ingredients.
My brother, who is a passionate chef (and modestly multi-award winning), has helped us develop the dough recipe – a process which has caused us all to pile on the pounds during lock down. We are now excited to share this with you and give something back to our NHS heroes (50p from every pizza) at the same time, we have made over £300 for them to date 🙂. We have family on the front line doing an amazing job and wanted to use our skills to support them however we can.

The pizza and the service was personal and cheery and they pizza was super fresh and artisan. The base was amazing, it was stone baked in a traditional oven and you could really tell from the flavour and texture. To be honest even several days later it makes my mouth water just thinking about it.
