All of my mummy friends swear by their slow cookers, I got one on my wedding list and have thus far mastered just one recipe (for slow cook pulled pork) but I have a long way to go and am always looking for inspiration so was delighted to receive and share this post. Tasty Low-Carb Mushroomed Beef Stew
Ingredients
- Raw Beef for Stew: 1-3 cups
- Beef Paste- e.g. better than bouillon: 1-2 teaspoonfuls
- White Button Mushrooms: 8-ounce package
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Other preferred seasonings
Instructions

Pour your ingredients into the crock pot and stir to mix. Preferably, start with the beef, followed by the button mushrooms, and beef paste, in that order.

Add salt to taste, followed by pepper and your favorite seasoning product. You may also include powdered garlic, ginger, dhania, e.t.c as you prefer.

Set the cooker temperature to low cooking and the timer to about 2.5 hours. An even cooking temperature should be maintained to low until the food is ready. (depending on your specific model, cooking time may vary from crock pot to crock pot).

After the cooking timer elapses, your fully cooked mushroomed beef should be tender and slightly stewy.
Crock Pot Egg and Sausage Breakfast Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
- A chopped broccoli medium head
- A package of Dairy Farm Jones Little Links cooked and sliced (12-oz)
- Shredded and divided Cheddar - about 1 cup
- 10 standard size eggs
- Whipping cream - about 3/4-cup
- Minced garlic - about 2 cloves
- 1/2 -1 tablespoonful salt
- 1/4 -1 tablespoonful pepper
- Healthy cooking oil few tbsps of canola, or olive oil
Instructions

Grease the Cooker: Grease your crock pot ceramic interior well, checking that you don't put too much oil. Use the oil sparingly.

Layer Your Main Ingredients: Put half of your broccoli, the sausage, and your cheese into the cooker's ceramic well, in layers. Now add the remaining halves following the same order of layers.

Prepare a Mixed Ingredient Blend: Mix your whisked eggs, garlic, whipping cream, salt, and pepper to create a well-mixed blend in a large bowl using a spatula or large mixing spoon.

Add Your Mixed Ingredient Blend: Pour your egg-garlic-cream-salt-pepper mix into the crock pot to cover the layered ingredients.

Put the crock pot lid/cover in place and set the cooking conditions to low or high. Cooking time should be 2-3 hrs for high and 4-5 hours on low temperature. Depending on the crock pot model you are using, most models come with an automatic timer that allows you convenience when cooking.

Open the lid to check your resulting preparation. You should be able to see browning at the edges and the center should be well set. Your final product to know youāre done.
Recipe Notes
The above preparation serves 6-8, with each serving containing 5.39g carbs for 6 servings. It can be a wonderful meal for breakfast, especially when you are in no rush of heading somewhere.
