CASE STUDY:
How three years of consistent email marketing helped Rebecca at Time for Me to flourish

- Before we started working together, Rebecca, a busy local beautician and homeware and beauty consultant, felt unsure of where to begin with email marketing. She knew it mattered but did not have the time, clarity or confidence to set it up properly alongside running her business.
- I supported her by setting up a simple, branded email system that felt aligned with her business. This included creating an easy to use template, helping her choose the right platform, mapping out monthly content ideas, and shaping her messaging so it felt warm, professional and true to her voice.
- As a result, email became a calm and consistent part of her marketing rather than an overwhelming task. She was able to stay connected with clients, highlight treatments and products, and gently encourage repeat bookings in a way that felt natural and manageable.

These results show what happens when email marketing becomes consistent, branded, and easy to maintain. Rebecca’s newsletters keep her clients engaged, informed, and ready to book.
The Opportunity
Rebecca had an engaged client base but no consistent way to stay connected outside of appointments and social media. The opportunity was to create a simple, branded email marketing system that nurtured her audience, showcased her treatments and homeware products, and encouraged repeat bookings in a calm and manageable way.
The Challenge
Rebecca runs a busy beauty business and spends most of her week doing what she loves, delivering treatments to clients. But when it came to newsletters, she felt completely stuck.
She explained that email marketing was not something she could realistically do herself, not only because of time, but because she did not have the knowledge or confidence to set up an email system or distribute newsletters properly.
With very little IT experience, and no understanding of how email marketing platforms worked, she knew she would spend hours each month trying to figure it out, and that it would likely result in her not doing it at all.

The Solution
Rebecca outsourced her newsletters to remove the pressure entirely and create a simple, repeatable process that worked around her schedule.
We built a consistent monthly newsletter format that includes:
- A warm welcome section
- A product of the month feature
- A treatment of the month promotion
- Seasonal updates and personal notes
- Clear booking links and calls to action
Rebecca shared that the process is straightforward and efficient. She spends around one hour pulling together the information and only a couple of minutes proofreading, and then I take care of the rest.
She values that I give direct instructions on what I need from her, and that she does not have to spend her limited free time answering endless questions or sitting at a computer.
The Results
Rebecca has now been sending newsletters consistently for three years, and the impact has been both practical and long-term.
One of the strongest results has been product sales. She described it as “planting a seed” in her clients’ minds. Often, they may not buy straight away, but three months later or around Christmas they will suddenly ask for the product, simply because they remembered seeing it in the newsletter.
She also regularly promotes a “treatment of the month”, which is usually a longer and more expensive package than what is listed on her permanent menu. On average, she receives three to five bookings each month from this feature.

Supporting Clear Communication
The newsletter has also helped Rebecca communicate business changes in a professional and non-personal way.
She explained that it enables her to share things like price increases or no-show fees clearly, while also giving her the space to explain the reasons behind those decisions.
As a result, by the time she sees clients in person, they are more understanding and supportive because they already know what is happening and why.
Staying Visible and Consistent
Rebecca also shared that the newsletter acts as a reminder to clients who may have cancelled an appointment and never rebooked.
It reassures them that she is still there, and she often sees clients clicking the booking link while reading the email.
This consistency has helped her stay present in her clients’ minds without relying solely on social media.
Client Engagement
Rebecca receives a lot of positive engagement from her newsletters.
She mentioned that many clients, especially her older ladies, really enjoy reading them and make a point of telling her how much they like them.

What Rebecca Values Most
Rebecca values the simplicity of the process and the fact that she does not have to do very much herself.
This gives her the freedom to focus on her business, her clients, and her life, knowing her marketing is still happening consistently in the background.
“Working with Gill has been good. She has common sense, she knows what she is doing, and she gives me direct instructions of what she needs from me. I do that, and then she works her magic. I spend one hour putting the information together and then two minutes proofreading it, and that is it. She does the rest, and it is perfect. She has been creating my newsletter for the last three years. She is professional and knowledgeable, and she has a creative flair that adds a little something special to the newsletter. She is easy to work with and gets the job done in a time-efficient manner. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is needing help to support their business.”
