How to Keep All of your Guests Entertained at your Wedding

If you are due to get married then you’ll know what an exciting time this can be. You may feel as though you have your whole life ahead of you and you may also feel as though you can’t wait to spend the rest of your life with your partner. When you do plan your wedding however, it’s important to keep in mind that whilst this is one of the best and most important days in your own life so far for your guests its, in the main, just a nice party and day out (and probably one which has cost them individually a fair amount to attend with the travel and potential accommodation, outfits and gifts). Therefore put your host/hostess hat on and try and make their day lovely too by providing them with good food, good music, good company and where possible entertainment, here’s some ideas to get you started…

Drink Tickets

This is a fun game and it is a great ice-breaker as well. This is also a great way for you to try and create some conversation too. Hand your guests a drink ticket when they enter the venue. Each ticket could have a task written on it, such as make conversation with someone in a red t-shirt. If they do this, then they can go to the bar with the other person and get a free drink. This can really encourage your guests to mingle and it can also help them to have a few free cocktails too. Sure, this can cost you a little bit but the best thing about it is that you are in complete control of how many tokens you give out.

Hobbies

Sometimes your guests are going to be sat at their table with absolutely nothing to do. For this reason, you need to try and keep them entertained on your wedding day. Rubik’s cubes, peg board games and even noughts and crosses are great options. You can get mini versions of these games and it can encourage your guests to play with one another as well. You might even be able to spark some light-hearted competition along the way as well, not to mention that it provides the perfect bonding experience. Everyone will love it and you would be surprised at how many laughs you can get out of things like this.

Fun Photos

Set your guests tasks at their table to try and get certain photos. You could ask someone to pull the funniest facial expression or you could even ask them to try and work with each other to create the funniest pose. When you have these photos, you can get them digitally uploaded to a projector and then have votes for the funniest photo. This is a fantastic way for you to get the party started and you can even hire a wedding DJ to get some dancing photos as well. When you do this, you can get everyone up and moving and this can also help you to put some smiles on the faces of those who are attending your wedding too.

So there are many things that you can do to try and make your wedding the best that it can be and when you are able to put the work in, you will soon find how the whole thing can come together to provide everyone with a truly memorable experience.
