Standard invitations can be gorgeous, we agree, but have you considered paperless alternatives to traditional options for your special day? It doesn’t have to mean compromising on their appearance – lots of companies now provide beautiful templates you can use to produce something unique.
Or, if you or a family member or friend are a little bit artistic, why not create consider creating your own design?
Choose a vintage wedding dress
There are lots of shops and dress agencies now where you can find beautiful vintage dresses that will look truly bespoke on the day. They not only save you pennies but guarantee a unique and gorgeous outfit – and that’s something that never goes out of style.
Or you could reuse a relative’s dress and embellish it with your own special touches as an alternative? And, obviously, hiring a dress is a more affordable and environmentally friendly option to buying anything brand new..
Beautiful eco-friendly bouquets
One interesting idea we’ve seen recently is to create a bouquet from buttons or beads – ur try adding a favourite brooch or memento. This beautiful, unique item would never wilt, which also means you will never have to throw it away. You could incorporate family heirlooms, – include one of your grandma’s favourites, or ask for a donation from all your female relatives.
Maybe you could make your own bouquets using, for example, lavender from the garden, or, if you don’t want to forego traditional florists’ options – think about designs you could reuse as table centrepieces..

And, while we’re discussing centrepieces, the best idea is to forget traditional cut flowers, which are a bad choice, both for your wallet and the environment. Try using potted plants and flowers – maybe you have some beautiful ones at home you could use as a starting point?
