We were told about this park by a dear Mummy friend who I met in hospital with the boys. It is a real hidden gem right on the edge of Bedford in Kempston, it is a proper Victorian park with proper open spaces to run or walk around, well managed, with plenty of footpaths for buggies, next to some lovely charity shops and cafes and even a local library, it is well worth checking out.
Equipment :
Almost too much play equipment to list here, but plenty of swings of all types, including the (American style bucket seat) baby swings – which are so much better designed and so much more supportive than the rigid square baby seats you generally get in the UK. Sandpits, and climbing frames and roundabouts for every size and ability and then outside of the main play park there are adult exercise equipment and a zip wire too.
Access: From Kempston, follow the map link below, you drive down a little road into the park, and park in front of the old manor house

Picnic Facilities: Picnic Bench Table, Bin
Parking: In front of the old manor house, plenty of free and well-maintained parking
