JamJarGill: Play Park Diaries: Kiln Drive Playground, Stewartby, Bedfordshire

Kiln Drive Playground, Stewartby, Bedfordshire

I had driven past this park a number of times and thought it looked like a good one before we got round to going there to meet up with friends for a playdate, and we were not disappointed. Tons of variety of play equipment to cater to children of all ages, recycled rubber floors under the equipment to create nice soft landings, fencing all the way round with child-friendly gates (as in the ones which have gaps each side so that little fingers can’t get trapped) but heavy enough to need adult supervision to open.

Equipment : Big kid climbing frame with slide and monkey ropes, spider web group swing, single toddler swing, sensory board, various rocking horses, single slide, round-a-bout, wobble board and see-saw.

Access: Through Stewartby new estate, near old brickworks.

Toilets (changing facilities) : n/a

Picnic Facilities: Picnic Bench Table, Bin and lots of lovely dappled shade spots to put out a rug

Parking: Plenty of street parking and individual parking bays around the park itself
