So we’re into week 25 of Meatless Monday… Firstly apologies for the massive delay in getting my Meatless Monday Post out this week…things definitely do get even more hectic on the lead up to the Christmas break. Looking forward to a break off of work to catch up with family, friends and house 🙂
On Monday was mine and my husband’s 14 years together anniversary 🙂 (yes we were pretty much children when we got together). So we went out to dinner to our new favourite chain restaurant – Prezzo, which doesn’t feel like a chain at all, on a meal deal and I got some lovely flowers too…

My Christmas jumper purchase from Vinted ended up falling through as the seller was poorly in the end so contacted me to say she wouldn’t be able to post it out in time. I still like the personalised service with vinted so would definitely go back there in the future. So I went on to eBay and managed to get this little gem delivered just about on time…
Please send me your selfies too – I’d love to see them 🙂
Right, Quotes which stood out to me this week:
This week there was one which just particularly stood out to me…

Right, time for some food….here’s what I had on Monday:
Breakfast:

Lunch:

Dinner:
For dinner we were out at Prezzo, and it was the first time I was out to dinner on a Meatless Monday and it really did occur to me how few veggie dishes there were on the menu, but this one (actually one I have had before too and loved) really stood out to me and it was absolutely delicious!

A selection of shiitake, chestnut, oyster and button 631
mushrooms, garlic, peas, spinach, asparagus, truffle infused
oil and bella lodi cheese in a creamy mushroom sauce
Hope you guys have a good week. Please do send me your thoughts and any other veg recipes you have for me to try – hope you have a lovely week 🙂

The penne with wild mushrooms looks delicious! And that quote is so great, I think I should print it out and hang it on my wall.
It really was yummy, I ate every last bite. I thought exactly the same when I saw this quote, so glad it rang a chord with you too. Have a great week xx
You make eating healthy look tasty too! You’ve done such a great job planning your meals, wish I could do that too.
Hi Eileen, thank you for your comments. Once you have some stable basics down, you can just mix them up each week and find an enjoyable combo. X

I love how the Christmas sweater tradition has become such a mainstream thing. I always found it fun to dress in holiday apparel to keep the holiday spirit going.
I agree Chrystal, though I’m definitely glad there are more tasteful jumper options now than there were when I was a kid. I love the charity social media element too – it’s a simple way to give something back 🙂
Gotta love that recipe inspiration. Looks really good. I think that sweater is so much fun!
Thanks Krystal ?
I love Christmas jumpers, but still haven’t bought one for this year yet!
Thanks Jemma. It was Christmas jumper day which have me a deadline. But I must say, I’m feeling quite attached to my Christmas jumper. Merry Christmas to you and yours xx
I gotta say, I think some of these ugly sweaters are actually really cute.
They’re definitely getting a lot more tasteful! X
I know it’s a bit late, but congrats on your 14th wedding anniversary. That Penne dish looks so tasty…I love asparagus…but the oyster part scares me.
Hi Yona, thank you. Hehe they’re oyster mushrooms, nothing to do with sea food. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleurotus_ostreatus ? very merry Christmas to you and yours x
Ohhh…I can do oyster mushrooms. I clicked on the link you provided and I am so curious to smell these in person…that’s so interesting that they have a bittersweet scent.
They are just like a stronger mushroom really ?
