Parson’s Close Recreation Ground & Splash Park, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

I heard about this free splash park through the parenting grapevine again, and I was so blown away by how wonderful it was when we went! What an incredible find, clean, well maintained, with parking nearby and tons of variety on things to do.

Equipment : Beautiful big Victorian Park with tons of green space to run around and a fab playground with loads of equipment and a lovely clean and well maintained free splash park and a massive sand pit too! Literally all bases covered, we will definitely be going here annually in good weather at a minimum.

Access: By footpath from all sides of the Recreation Grounds

Toilets (changing facilities) : Clean and amazingly well maintained all-in-one cublicals, I didn’t notice changing facilities, but to be honest there is so much open space, there are plenty of places round the park to discretely change your babies nappy and get them changed for splashing too!

Picnic Facilities: Benches throughout the park along with plenty of green space to put down a picnic rug, there is often a ice-cream van in good weather too 🙂

Parking: We took advice from the marvelous MK Kids website on the best place to park and found Duncombe Drive Car Park to be very reasonable as it was a short walk away and had plenty of parking and was the only charge for the day.
