You’ve been invited to your best friend’s wedding and you’re just not sure what to wear. You don’t want to upstage the bride and groom, and it’s up to you to decide what the bridesmaids are going to wear. Or maybe a distant cousin has asked you to come along to courthouse and be a witness – what are you meant to put on for such an occasion?
Well, now’s your chance to figure it out; we’ve got some ideas below that might work out well for you. Hey, who doesn’t love a bit of handy inspiration for upcoming nuptials?

Something Colourful
Wearing something colourful is definitely still acceptable, as long as you wear it in moderation, or hue it into a lighter shade of what you want. Bright and bold colours should always be cleared with the bridal party first, to ensure you’re not sticking out like a lemon, despite wanting to help complement the happy couple on their big day.
A purple dress, for example, works wonders for dressing like a flower and throwing petals over the wedding crowd. A bright pink is a wonderful idea for brides who love to have pink and fluffy things in their life, and of course, don’t forget about your darker blues or your burgundies! These work well to complement the outfits the groomsmen are wearing.
Something Neutral Toned or Coloured
What is neutral to you? Maybe it’s a shade of grey, or a light blue, but definitely not red or white in any shade or tone they could come in! Well, in truth, a neutral outfit is something that helps to make up the background, but doesn’t quite fade into it either. And there are plenty of such outfits on the market for you to invest in.
A neutral colour outfit will always look great on your body, no matter what colour or shade it actually is. Picking up something not exactly mint, but still a lovely pale shade of green, will help to keep the focus off of you and on the bride themselves. But, you’ll still look wonderful, and still be dressed in a lovely hue that’ll make for a great photo!
Something Plain and Simple
And of course, if you want to go plain and simple, feel free to do so. You’re part of the wedding, you’ll be in the photos, and you’ll have some good memories to look back on – why does it matter what you’re wearing?
And when you’ve got something simple on down below, it allows your natural beauty to shine through. It allows you to go all out with hair and makeup, which is what catches the eye the most during classy and sophisticated events like a wedding day.
You’ve got a wedding to get to – what are you going to wear? Hopefully, with the points above, you’re starting to work it out!
