So here we are: week 36 of Meatless Monday 2020… The boys went back to school this week and on the Sunday night my body didn’t allow me to sleep all night, which was just awful, I got through the school run (just) and then went back to bed, after calling in sick, in desperation for 5 hours. Luckily my sleep then improved over the rest of the week and my week ended in a lovely (pre-birthday) weekend away with my gorgeous girls <3
Here’s what we wore:

Me: Long Sleeve Top: SuperDry (thrifted), Vest: Primark, Jeans: GAP, Coat & Jumper: Joules, Shoes: Clarks
Boys: Jeans/ Chinos and Hoodies: Various sources/gifted/thrifted, Long Sleeve Tops: Next & Debenhams , Trainers: Clarks
What’s in my ears:
A song which kept popping into my head this week which is actually a fantastic tune with a great message 🙂
Here’s my week in 4:

1.

2.

3.

4.
- Bath Therma Spa: I’ve been wanting to go to this since 2002 when I was down in bath for a year at Bath Spa Uni and they were building this as part as a Millennium project. The pools were just divine, I’m so glad we went for those, just wish we had had longer to enjoy, but we soaked it in best we could and each got a much needed full body aromatherapy massage too – bliss!
- Day in Bath: So nice to spend a day in this beautiful city with my girls, its just so stunning there, we lunched on tapas and shopped and did some site seeing too 🙂
- Back to Charity Shops: I love to go to charity shops – well everywhere, but I also love to buy something little to remember any trip by, so charity shopping whilst away really does tick all the boxes, you can get some gems as you are going somewhere new, bargains (you know how much I love one as always on a budget), you are reducing/reusing and recycling and getting something to remember your trip by 🙂 I spent around £40-£50 total, but got so so many beautiful and quality branded clothes for that along with two gorgeous blue enamel pans.
- Pre-birthday dinner: Ended our weekend away on a high with a lovely pre-birthday lunch for myself and @anna_chudley at the lovely pub {@kingsarmsmonk} in the village we were staying, whilst @ajperkins_ was being a superhero Daddy at home 🏡 😊 ❤️
Video(s) of the week:
I finally got round to catching up and finishing watching Mrs America this week, it was so brilliant from start to finish and really gave me an insight into all the major players in the women’s lib movement in America. If you haven’t got to watching it yet, I absolutely recommend you do…
Also then on our girls weekend away I re-watched The Otherhood, a Netflix original film which is actually very good and a worthwhile find 🙂
What we ate this week…
Breakfast:
This was probably the most normal meal of the day, when I haven’t slept to that extreme I loose any appetite I might have had, for someone who hasn’t experienced this, its very similar to recovering from a stomach flu or bad cold and all you want is comfort food of the most basic calibre when you do fancy anything at all, which was with the boys before the school run… We all had toasted teacake and nectarine, and then I had decaf tea (as I knew I had to go back to bed) and the boys had milk.

Lunch:
I had tea with marmite toast.

Dinner:
When the boys got in from school they had half an apple each and a cup of milk and I had a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes with raspberries then the boys had a nap. Then the boys collective had their usual beans and toast, which of course made me fancy toast, so I had some :). Then we all had a clemintine, then I had a pack of squares then an apple and then a handful of nuts (see told you it was a random food day 😉 )
